  2. Thanks a lot.
Seems to be a very agressive time you have there. Lots of Aggro and Tempo lists and only a few Combo and Control decks.
Any ideas how to use that to build a meta-answer?

  3. Yeah, aggression and burn are predominant. The UW blink lists from the past might prove a good answer to this, it has card advantage, good flyers, lifegain and solid removal. However, versus other control decks and combo this is rather weak. The 8 post list that Walter used to win two tournaments is strong against most of teh field as well. You could also imagine UR post, like it is played in pauper. The obvious problem for 8post, however, is land destruction.

Non 8post control decks have the problem that their lategame is not as impressive as that of 8post lists. I have been thinking about such decks, but I have not yet been able to find something that pleases me.

Of course you can also fight fire with fire. My thoughts have gone out to a WUR deck with kiln fiend, nivix cyclops, frostburn weird and aven riftwatchers as creatures. You can complement this with tons of burn and preordains and other goodies, you might even consider volcanic fallout. I know the UGR deck that resembled this performed poorly, but I feel that more to the dome burn and the addition of the cyclops and kiln fiend you can be very aggressive as well as controllish. White is obviously important for lifegain and hallow. Hallow is amazing, it absolutely cripples burn and MBC decks.

Because of all these ideas I am still not sure what to do at the next tournament. :)

  6. "Worm Harvest" will probably printed in "Modern Masters" as an Uncommon. What does that mean for Peasant? Will it be allowed to play it?

Same goes for "Masked Admirers". Would be awesome to play them in Peasant! :)

  7. I could see the Worm Harvest being really stupidly good, but only in a really late game scenario. I think for it to be impressive you need 4 lands in your graveyard, otherwise as a 5 mana spell I think it is too slow and ineffectual. Also a relic of progenitus on the sideboard will take good care of it and the lands in the bin.

Admirers seems like an ok card, but no more than that imho.

Weird that they're downgrading cards, that is quite rare I believe.

  9. Ah :)

This means I shall start following the Modern Master spoilers with heightened interest :)

  10. The spoiler is completed. Plsplspls make a set review of Modern Masters.

Soo many downgraded peasant cards. And look out for Arcane Tide!
